Michael Ostroff, CFRE: Bio

Michael Ostroff is the founder and president of The Ostroff Group (TOG), a national consulting firm serving the not-for-profit community. The firm serves clients in the fields of education, human services, cultural arts, health care and Jewish community services.  A Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), Michael specializes in major gift solicitation, campaign and strategic planning, board and volunteer training and motivational speaking.  He brings to his consulting practice more than thirty years of hands-on experience, having served as campaign director or chief executive officer for major human services agencies in communities throughout the US and Canada.

Michael has been associated with public radio since 2006 and has made an impact in the way that the public radio community is beginning to look at itself as essential community philanthropy and not only as an outstanding media organization. Michael has made presentations about capital campaigns and major giving PMDMC, PRDMC, PBMA and at several PRIMA meetings. Throughout his career, Michael has lectured extensively on topics relating to annual, capital and endowment campaigns, volunteer and professional solicitor training, organizational development and board relations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe and Israel. He holds a BA in Social Welfare from Pennsylvania State University and an MS in Social Administration from Case Western Reserve University. He is a long-standing member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and involved in many non-profit organizations as a volunteer and Board Member.
