Acquisition Mail Production Collaborative

Adding new members to your files has never been easier or more successful. The 3MG acquisition package has generated superior results at stations across the country.  You give the order, we do the work!

Service

DEI is making Acquisition Mail PRODUCTION available to all DEI member-stations.  To participate you must:

  • submit your Acquisition List Co-Op participation form by the deadline in order to get list counts for the upcoming approved mail dates through the production collaboration.
  • enter DEI Mail Production Collaborative as your mail production "vendor" with Sue Richmond's contact information.
  • sign separate letter of agreement for mail production work.

Provide your house lists (active, lapsed  and prospects) with instructions to mail or suppress.
 

On your behalf, DEI's Acquisition Mail Production Collaborative will:

  • de-dupe files
  • suppress active members and other names you select
  • code lapsed and prospects for mailing
  • print and mail the package using a "back to the station" reply envelope 

Cost

$240 per 1,000 plus the cost you have already incurred for list acquisition and the actual cost for the non-profit bulk mail postage used.

Open to all DEI member stations.

Additional gift and lapsed member solicitation are part of the proven practice membership operation. Strengthen your program by mailing the right package to the right person at the right time!

Services

For Fiscal Year-End, Calendar Year-End and Pre-Drive Lapsed/Add Gift mailings, your station provides lapsed files and/or current member file segments selected for the add gift and lapsed solicitations, and DEI does all the work - letter prep and production, insertion, and mailing. Donors send proceeds directly to the station.

Cost

$240 per 1,000 for lapsed mailings, plus actual cost for the non-profit bulk mail postage used
$270 per 1,000 for additional gift mailings, plus actual cost for the non-profit bulk mail postage used

Availability/Deadline

Open to all DEI member stations with who register by announced deadlines.  Next deadline:  August 31, 2011 for Calendar Year-End.

Elements

The two-effort, calendar year-end additional gift and lapsed solicitation mailings will drop in November.  Additional lapsed and add gift drops are scheduled prior to spring and fall pledge drives.  Response mail/gifts go directly to the station.

Currently the Calendar Year-End service is available only to News/Information stations or mixed News/Music format stations. Collaborative opportunities for additional formats are in the research/planning phase.

Benefits

Current and lapsed members are the best source of additional dollars to your stations and can generate significant net revenue to support your mission - oftentimes 5 - 7 times the investment cost.
