Grant Center Webinar: Investing in Innovation - PRX's New Public Media Accelerator
Presented by Jake Shapiro, founding CEO, PRX on February 16, 2012   Public Radio Exchange (PRX) recently received a $2.5 million grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation to launch the Public Media Accelerator, a new initiative to identify and accelerate ideas to increase the impact of public service media.  Beginning this spring, the Public Media Accelerator will accept applications from "mission-driven entrepreneurs" with innovative ideas for expanding public service media through apps, services and media products.  The Public Media Accelerator is modeled on mentorship-driven technology startup accelerators and will invest in both non-profit and for-profit ventures.  Successful projects will be showcased to additional funders and investors, and receive support through a partner, mentor and sponsor network.   Click Here to Access Playback
