In the Public Broadcasting system "Underwriting" is the industry's word for "on-air sponsorships", similar to advertising. An underwriting message has some limitations and guidelines as outlined by the FCC. ETV (South Carolina Educational Television/Radio/Web) is seeking an experienced Underwriting Salesperson to represent the entire ETV portfolio in the Charleston area: spot sales on ETV, the South Carolina Channel, ETV World, and ETV Radio, digital sponsorship opportunities and event sponsorships. Candidates for the position should have media sales experience with demonstrated success. Candidates with a passion for public media with strong cold-calling skills are preferred. Candidate will develop strategic sales relationships with existing and prospective clients including helping them meet content and production requirements; achieve monthly, quarterly and annual revenue goals; create multi-platform sponsorship opportunities; be proactive in keeping accounts current (collections); provide reporting; and attend meetings as necessary. Develop a territory plan which includes a list of potential underwriting clients; a strategy and timetable for contacting and serving them. Create, present and close multi-media marketing plans for existing and prospective underwriters. Keep informed on programming, production, events and other opportunities for underwriting. Base salary of $31,182, plus commission.

MEMBER RELATIONS MANAGER – KPLU
